Draft for review

Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026 · Placeholder text until legal review.

This draft explains how EliteCourt Pro (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our websites, apps, and related tournament services. It is not final legal advice and will be replaced after counsel review.

1. Who we are

EliteCourt Pro helps organizers run basketball and other court-sport tournaments — including registration, rosters, fixtures, live scoring, and public results pages.

Questions: hello@elitecourtpro.com or our contact form.

2. Who this policy applies to

This policy covers anyone who uses EliteCourt Pro — organizers, scorers, coaches, players, guardians, and visitors to public tournament pages. If you use the service on behalf of a school, club, or company, this policy applies to the personal data processed through your account.

3. Information we may collect

  • Account details — name, email, phone (where provided), role, and login credentials or authentication tokens.
  • Tournament data — event details, team and player names, ages/categories where required for eligibility, fixtures, scores, and scoresheet records.
  • Payment-related metadata — plan inquiries, fee status flags organizers or coaches mark in the product, and billing contact details you share with us. We do not process team entry fees through the platform.
  • Inquiry data — messages sent via contact forms (including city/state and role context you share).
  • Technical data — device/browser type, IP address, approximate location, cookies or local storage where used, and usage logs needed to operate and secure the service.

4. How we use information

  • Provide and improve tournament operations, scoring, and public event pages.
  • Authenticate users and manage roles (organizer, scorer, coach, player, etc.).
  • Respond to inquiries, billing follow-ups, and support requests.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
  • Send service-related notices (for example password resets, invitations, or event updates).

5. Legal basis

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performing our contract with you to provide the service; your consent (for example optional notifications or sign-in choices); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the platform; and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work if essential cookies are disabled.

7. Information from others

Organizers, coaches, and scorers may enter information about other people — for example player names, jersey numbers, guardian contacts, or eligibility notes. Those users are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide that data. If you believe your information was added incorrectly, contact the event organizer first or email us at hello@elitecourtpro.com.

8. Sharing

We share personal information only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers — hosting, email delivery, messaging, analytics, or security vendors who process data on our instructions.
  • Other event participants — roster, fixture, and result data you or your organizer publish for an event (including public pages you enable).
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the platform.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure or subprocessors may process data outside India. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as contractual protections — before transferring personal data across borders.

10. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, tournament archives you expect to remain available, and legal or accounting requirements. You may request deletion of account data subject to legitimate retention needs (for example completed official scoresheets).

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access controls and encryption in transit where supported. No online system is perfectly secure; please use strong passwords and share access only with trusted staff.

12. We do not sell personal information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We do not share contact lists for unrelated marketing.

13. Children and school events

School and youth tournaments may include minors’ names and related eligibility data entered by organizers or guardians. Organizers are responsible for collecting consent where required. Contact us if you need a record corrected or removed.

14. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) where it applies — you may have rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@elitecourtpro.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

15. Grievance / privacy contact

For privacy-related complaints under applicable Indian law, email hello@elitecourtpro.com. We will acknowledge and work to resolve genuine concerns within reasonable timelines required by law.

For postal correspondence, email us at the address above and we will share a correspondence address on request. We do not publish a residential address or personal name on this website.

16. Data breaches

If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will investigate promptly and notify you and regulators where required by law.

17. Sign-in and maps

If you use Google sign-in, Google processes that authentication under its terms. We store the identifiers needed to keep your EliteCourt Pro account linked. Venue search may call Google Maps / Places in the browser or app WebView when a maps key is configured; that traffic is subject to Google's maps policies as well as ours.

18. Messages we send

Service email, in-app inbox notices, and optional WhatsApp (OTP or alerts) use processors we engage to deliver those messages. You can change notification preferences in Settings where the product exposes them.

19. Links to other sites

Public tournament pages or organizer content may link to third-party websites (for example venue sites or payment apps). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing personal information with them.

20. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when a revised version is published. Material changes may be highlighted in-product or by email when practical.

21. Law that applies

We design this policy for users in India, including obligations under applicable data protection law (such as the DPDP Act, where it applies). If you access EliteCourt Pro from another country, additional rules may also apply.
